Clean Your Floors with a Natural Homemade Cleaner

I love wood floors and keeping them clean, especially with a dog is difficult, but this cheap and easy to make floor cleaner really helps. Natural ingredients so it doesn’t harm my pet or kids (if I had any) is a big plus and it cleans like a banshee. This natural floor cleaner really only needs 4 important ingredients to get your wood floors looking great: water, vinegar, rubbing alcohol and dish soap. After that you can add a few other things to enhance the fragrance and potential bacteria killing properties.

Here is the original floor cleaning ingredients:

  • 1 part Water
  • 1 part White Vinegar
  • 1 part 70% Isopropyl (Rubbing) Alcohol
  • Few drops of liquid dish detergent

As I mentioned you can add more ingredients, such as Nature’s Nurture Blog adds the following which she write, “helps mask the vinegar smell, and also adds some beneficial properties”:

  • 5 drops lavender essential oil
  • 5 drops orange essential oil
  • 3 drops tea tree essential oil

Sarah, the owner Nature’s Nurture gives more helpful information about using this cleaning mixture and provides a lot of tips. Check it out.
