Use Découpage to Create a Beautiful New Chair

decoupage-chairAdd some pizzazz to your furniture, espeically children’s furniture by using decoupage from the French word découper, meaning to cut out—is a craft or art form that entails pasting cut-outs (typically paper) to an object and then covering them with several coats of varnish or lacquer. You can learn more about it here.

This beautiful chair was created by My Happy Days. I remember having a small reading chair as a child and it was your standard brown wood chair. Not much to write home about, if I remember. But if my chair had been this snazzy, I would have been sitting and reading a lot more often. It is a work of art now!
